Update to Submission Guidelines

Hello friends,

We are sorry to announce that we will no longer be accepting works of non-fiction for either the Review or for stand alone electronic publication.

However, we are still very much accepting submissions in fiction and poetry. Short works and small collections of poetry are always needed for publication in the Mason J. Review. Works in the Science Fiction/ Speculative Fiction genre are very much desired.

Thank you all for your understanding and we can't wait to see what you've written!

Anthology Americana

This fall, we are happy to announce that we are publishing an anthology. It is a themed anthology in the taste of Americana. For those of you who don't know what that means, we're talking everything "all-american".  This could be historical or contemporary. It doesn't mean it has to be set in America, but it submissions must contain elements of Americana to be considered. For further definition of Americana, Wikipedia has a great synopsis of what we're searching for. Also, because the anthology has a projected publish date close to Halloween, we're looking for elements of creep. Disturb us.

For this anthology we will only be accepting submissions of Fiction and Poetry. Submissions must be typed and submitted via email to with the header of Anthology Americana, and cannot exceed a 50 page limit. Published authors will be paid a maximum of fifty cents per page. The finished anthology will be published in ebook format only. Deadline to submit is August 31st, 2015.

We are beyond excitement to present this opportunity to you all. Spread the word to your friends as well! If you have any questions you may contact our Editor via email:
